The PMU shall
discharge the following
functions:
1.Incharge of the
overall managerial
tasks of the project
2. Funds received
from the Finance
Department, Government of Tamilnadu will be disbursed to PMU
directly for implementation of the project
3. Financial
management including
compiling the expenditure statements from field officers and
preparation and submission of reimbursement claims to JICA
4. Monitoring,
evaluation and preparation
of reports like Quarterly Progress Report (QPR), Project
Completion Report (PCR)
5. Incorporating
the detailed functions
of the PMU in the Operational Manual of PMU
The Business
transactions of the Society
have been done by constituting the working
bodies, viz. the General Body and Executive Body. The
Government had issued orders by constituting an Executive
Body and General Body, its functions, the constitution of
the PMU's Governing body and its functions vide
G.O.Ms.No.109, E, CC & F (FR-6) Department dated 24.06.2022.
The Executive Body
will be directly
implementing the Project through Divisional
Management Units (DMUs) (Forest Divisions) and Range
Management Units (RMUs) (Ranges).
The DMUs and RMUs are not registered bodies but will remain
as departmental entities and will receive funds from the
Society and implement the project works. The PMU will be
in-charge of the overall managerial tasks of the Project.
The PMU will collate and consolidate the
expenditure statements from divisional and field offices,
and prepare documentation for reimbursement claims to JICA.
